I had Comonno Influnze & my nose is running a 1000km Marathon.

I am now blogging with a nose that can ran a 1000km marathon.
Tissues wipe and wipe. Never Ending.

I felt that I sick on sunday morning before I went to church. Had breaky on Mac.

So, sunday went by, I felt great during and after service, had a nice fellowship with my cell group. Came home. Chat on MSN abit, play maple abit (Yeah Rite).

So, now on monday, I woke up, took a flu tablet (My mom always claim she's half a doctor). And proceed to work. Man, I can't concentrate, Can't think straight. I think the medicine is working. Yet my nose is still running (The marathon of course).

So, I went home during lunch time, reach home around 2 plus. Saw her , say hi, ask her to pray for me. haha. Went to see a doc, came back, took medicine, chat with her again. Then she left, I went to sleep, sms kept ranging. A guy from AVA came for a rountine check on Dengue. Slept, woke up at 7 plus, took a bathe.

And now here I am, typing furiously, with my nose still running (the marathon, wonder when it will finish). Watching Campus Superstar, hungry (nothing to eat).

OK. Think I stop here (while my nose still running), see tomorrow how (Still on MC)

What to name Thy Son

“Daddy, I don’t like my name”
“Why son, your name is nice what”
“But whenever I want to play with my classmates, they will say “Tan KuKu, wait long long””
“They are making fun of my name”
“But that’s precisely what your mom wanted to name you when she goes into labor when she’s carrying you.”

Tan KuKu, is one of the name that popup when we try to name Roland’s future son. I seriously think our cell group had moved on to the next phase. With people getting attached like my dear sis Esther with Victor (Who ironically nickname is KuKu). Couples getting hitched like Jia Min & Tuan Yee. Married couples in midst of family planning like Charlotte & Andrew, Roland & Chellie.

So on one side of the fellowship, we have Mama Audrey giving advise to Jia Min, while we were playing with our first cell group baby, baby Abby. Mama Audrey is going to due soon the another boy (less than a month), that been our third cell group baby. The second baby is Victoria, baby of Mama Eve.

On the other side of the table, we have Roland, our big bear (I mean big bro) of the cell saying what name shall he name his future boy. Andrew will give suggestion. Here’s a few that came out. Rolex Tan, Roti Tan, Rambutan and Tan KuKu. Andrew will say he’s going to name his son Andrew Jr. He also hope his son will be a egomaniac like him. The entire table was filled with laughter through out the entire lunch.

Guys, you guys are abit slow. Though I don’t even have a girlfriend, I had already thought of names for my children. My boy will be name Hermes Tan (yes, my surname is also Tan like Roland). And my daughter will be call Helena (Though I was thinking the line of Aphrodite and Persephone.)

And Yes, I do love kids. For now, I just have Abby, Victoria and Abby’s bro (on the way) to play with.

I writing this entry from this entry in Lucky Plaza's Mac. Having my breaky here before I proceed to Church early on a sunday morning.

C-Net's Editors has released their Choice of Phones, and under the category of camera phones, K750I, the Sony Ericsson Phone that I'm am using (after I change the fugly K600i) is ranked 1st.

Budget 2006.

As promised The budget.

Before I move into the Juice of this budget, I would like to talk about what I think about the budget of this year. But before that, let's us review our budget position of last fiscal year of 2005. This part is skip able for those who want to pass.

FY 2005 saw an increase in the overall surplus/(deficit). It is revised at 0.43b as compared to 0.21b as budgeted in last year budget. This position is achieved with both the Operating Revenue and the Total Expenditure lower as estimated and an increase in the Net Investment Income Contribution. For More inform read Table 2 of FY2005 and Annex E of FY2006.

One thing I like about this year budget is that how the money is spent. And I'm not taking the PROGRESS package that the government is giving.This year budget, quite a percentile of it, is been spent on the future. Yes, you heard it rite, FUTURE. The government is going to concentrate on making Singapore into a knowledge hub, Intellectual Property (IP), Key areas in Manufacturing and Services, Entrepreneurship and yes HUMAN CAPITAL. The government is setting aside money to train it's people. An example is the a pre-tertiary Arts school been setup.

OK, now the goodies time.

PROGRESS Package.

This year the government has set aside 3.59b as Special Transfers. It is a 310.2% increased as compared with last year. Some economist deems this year budget as "Negative Income Tax". But if you read through how the term is used and how our government is distributing it's money, you would know, it is a far cry from what it is.

I would go through briefly about it.

Growth Dividends (All Singaporeans) - $200 - $800
This will depend on your Annual Assesable Income and Annual Value of Home. Which means, the less you earn and the smaller your house, the more money you will get. Vice Versa

Workfare Bonus (Low-Wage Worker) - $75 - $200
This will depend on the salary declared (Yes, you need to declare how much you had earned for this entitlement)

HDB Rebates - Details in the link above. Range from $60 - $200.

CPF Topup for Ederly ($100-$800)
Dependant on Age and Annual Value of Home

Opportunity Funds for Students ($50 million assesible for all schools and community self help groups)

NS Bonus - $100 - $400
Those who ORNS (Completed Reservist) - $400
Those sill serving NS (NSFs) or NSMens - $100

How to entitle for this Progress package?We will be given a letter from CPF by late March. We have to sign up through ATMS, The Progress Package Website or hard copy forms from Post Offices or CPF.OK,

I will dedicate each monster I killed in Maple Story for her.

This is the content of a conversation I made with one of female friends yesterday (I was chatting concurrently with a few at the same time, wishing Happy V-day in Advance.) I was about to tell her of my plan for V-day.

Happy Valentine's Day.

During End 97, directly after my O level’s. My family receives news that my maternal grandfather had fallen very sick after been diagnose with last stage cancer. He's bed-ridden, in tremendous pain.

My mom suggests that I would go back to Malaysia to take care of him since I’m free. Hence I packed my bags and went back to my mom’s hometown in Malaysia. I was there to take care of my grandfather. Supports his movement, feed him medicine, making sure he is safe.

My grandfather was a smoker. He had been smoking since I don’t know when. Though that, he was quite strong, he wear only a shirt and blue short pants. He’s the strong silent type. My mom absolutely dotes on him. When He was diagnosed with cancer, He decided to quit smoking and managed to do it within 2 to 3 days.

Time passed and fast forward to Valentine’s Day 1998. My grandfather passed away. I was quite sad, but I told myself that that’s life. I did all I could and was there when he passed away. 8 years had passed since then and it’s Valentine’s Day again as I penned this.

To Grandpa, Rest in peace.

To my friends and family, I love you.

To everyone else, especially those around you.

I'm absolutely disgusted at what the gay activist groups are doing. The zoo is trying to set things straight so that our future generation got the chance to see those cute little penguins. WTF(reak).

I mean,

They are no humans, even if they are that's the nature course of life. You hold your belief, I respect that, but WTF(reak) are you guys doing interfering with the Zoo's work. What rights do you have to claim that your rights are also parts of the Penguins (For Heavens sake). I think our times are near (as of Noah's). Man.

"And the Grammys goes to", "The Guy who didn't buy Toto"

Today's entry is separate in to 2 parts.

Part Uno, The Grammys.
Didn't really watch the telecast. Morning working, Night watching the exciting hongkie drama that's ending soon. But here's a few shoutout to the winners. First of all, one of my favorite rock band U2 for sweeping 5 awards. Mariah Carey for getting 3 awards (I used to hate her, but now, I felt she had improved alot). Kanye West for getting 3 awards. I don't really hear much of this guy's song, but I really digging into his "Gold digger", and to the rest of the winners like Kelly Clarkson and people.

Part Deux, Toto.
OK, I'm actually the guy who didn't buy Toto. It's been quite a long time since I totally quite gambling, 4D to Toto to Scocer. Even Card games like blackjack during CNY was axed. So, when everyone in my company is talking and buying Toto, I was unfazed. I can talk Toto, but I don't see myself buying it (even when it's prize is 13.5 million and the queces is short). I got colleauges saying that if they win, I won't get to see them on Monday (if they win lah, ya rite).

Ok lah, saw see who won Toto tonight.

I was talking with a gal over MSN yesterday. I told her I got 2 concurrent Book project running. She say it's not realistic to pursue a book due in Singapore, especially if you have no credentials.
All I replied is "God will provide", haha.

She say she's a pragmatist. In which I replied with the quote I used as the title for this entry "Pragmatism without Vision and Faith is just plain B0-Chup"

By the way "Bo-chup means unmoved in Singlish terms"

So What is Pragmatism anyway?

Well I am a pragmatist. But I'm also a dreamer. How can Realism and Dreams mixed?

I feel that there is a need to depend on Vision, Faith and Dreams to keep you going. Pragmatism is the check used periodically to access the realism and the alternative needed to keep you dreams going.

So there you have it. That's how you reach you Dreams, Ambition, Vision. Give it a dose of realism (pragmatism), make necessary chances and proceed. But never say never before you ever get started.

Cause "Pragmatism without Vision and Faith is just plain Bo-Chup"

A very belated CNY.

I know it's bit late, but Happy CNY anyway.

I had settled down in my new work place. Had to wake up at 5.30am to go to work.
I had a nostalgic feeling of my poly days initailly. The manager quite good.

Got a new Comp. Can play maple on it already. Don't need to used Bro's lappy to play. Catching up with old games like NSFU.

In Maple, I'm concentrating on ArseneLupin, Now it's Lvl 39, thinking of changing the hairstyle and color.

I'm currently continuing my "Visitation of Future Wife" Story, working on a new project called "2024".

"2024" is a book like "1984", telling a story of what the world would be like then. Pearlie say she's free to help after April.

V-day is coming and I'm still single. LOFL. Still working to get her out. Ahhhh.

I think I will give her something for V-day, though she's not going out with me.
