Due to the Out of Action, I can’t post my view on the NKF Saga for the entire freaking week. So, I decided to do a round-up together with my good friend Konan Kenji (aka the movie Kritic).
From the earlier post, I told you buggers that I had to go down to office to clear up some work, while there, I decided to print out some of the blogs that have a say on this NKF saga. After discussing with Konan Kenji we decided to do a joint entry. This entry consists on two parts. The first part will direct to the individual blog, our views on what they say. The second part will be our peanuts view on the issue.
Konan Kenji: To Mr Rockson Takumi Tan.
Word of advice, Brudder, you better tries to control your Lu Meh Lu Song (Hokkien: The More you scold the happier) attitude before you get into any unnecessary trouble. Seriously, there are a lot of buggers out that that enjoy your out take on the issue of NKF. But I want to so you another side of the picture. There are also some buggers out there that laugh at your stupidity at doing things they don’t dare to do fearing the fear of getting sued their pants off. They are waiting to see as more people read your views and takes, how will peoples from NKF, SPH, gahmen react. They are also bunch of buggers who will say you are only NATO (No Action Talk Only), just a Empty Vessel talk only know how to yak and behaving like a male XX (with due respect). They will think, you so fucking clever, you go take care of NKF lah, *pui*. Know what I mean. Anyway, I suggest you put a disclaimer on your site before you get into trouble.
Lupin Tan: To Blinky Mummy.
I will explain with Konan on why people feel outrage over the pay, the taps, the First class traveling and stuff. So please be patience if you are reading this.
Konan Kenji: To Jerry Lim.
First of all, Kudos to your take on this saga, you gave a very complete picture to this whole saga, complete with pictures (Self made). Your breakdown on how the money is spent, the justification over it, the different between business and organistation, ever the justification of the right of donors prove that you are a very well read person and you know how to reason with the right tools.
Konan Kenji: To Mr Brown.
Another bugger who give a good point of view. I totally agree on the not to stop calling part. Please think of the patients.
Lupin Tan: What we think.
After a heaty discussion with Konan, This is what we think.
Anyone heard of Darwin’s Award? Well, I think I would nominate Mr. T T Durai for this year running for suing SPH over the so call “Defamation” over this article they wrote on him.
It’s really like scoring an own goal despite successful attempts to put the issue down.
Our views go alongside with Jerry Lim comments. We would also like to add our peanuts to the pile.
First of all when this saga start to blow up, commoners will think that NKF as an organization that 挂羊头卖狗肉 (Wolf in Sheep Skin). In their mentality, they can’t accept that what seems like a Charity Organization been run like a Profit making business. (Note: I say Profit making business), where their huge part of their donations (hard earn) money goes to the paycheck of the CEO. Together with the perks and incentives.
This boils down to a very important question. How to run NKF? Business or Organization? Yes, you can run an Organization like a business, but the question next is does that give you the justification to use the money as the way they put it in the papers? No. It's a very clear cut thingy. You must understand whets the purpose of the money if for. The reason why the commoners want Mr. Durai to step down is because though his intention of running the organization as a business is good and beneficial, he so called reap more that he deserves from this 'earnings'.
Yes, I agree that in a business, CEO pay is so much, so much. But you misplaced the donor’s intentions of donating the money in the first place. It's like someone comes to you on the street asking for money because he is sick and the very next minute you see him using the money for other intentions. That's why the transparency needs to be in place.
Lastly I would like to appeal to those who are angry, with all the changes going on to the new management with the promises, I feel that this bad past will soon be over. Please continue to be charitable not for the sake of winning something, but they really need the money despite all this hoo ha. You know that 600K are no peanuts to those in needs despite what they say. We are not the monkeys that we seem. Do the right things.
